Valerie Ann Olivas is an accomplished Bachata and Salsa instructor.

Hailing from Los Angeles, Valerie began her dancing career when her mother enrolled her happy feet in gymnastics at the age of 9. In her teens, she kept her twinkle toes moving with high schools musicals and jazz. It wasn’t until a trip to the Dominican Republic that enriched her to learn and teach bachata. Valerie has directed and choreographed over Five teams in three years under Que Rico Dance Co. and has traveled all over the USA, Mexico and France instructing Bachata.

Valerie’s love for dance includes Salsa, Cumbia, Ballet, Cha Cha, Flamenco, Kizomba, and one of her favorites, Zouk.

Not only does Valerie teach and perform, she also has her own ladies stlying team under the entity of Que Rico, Lishous Ladies. She placed 2nd in a bachata pro/am competition at Stevens Steakhouse in the city of Commerce and she recently won and placed 1st in the Solo bachata competition in long beach at Sevillas. She has toured as part of ISDC, Ivo Shani dance Co. for Kizomba, performing on live TV for such channels as WAPA, Telemundo, and Univision, performing on the hit show Sabado Gigante for recording artist Coreon Du. Valerie is honored and thrilled to be instructing at Zouk beach week in SoCal.
