Xtine is Seattle’s lead Brazilian Zouk instructor, choreographer, promoter, and enthuastist. She was born and raised in Washington state, where she has been classical trained in many styles of dance. At the age of three she was dancing ballet, jazz, and tap. She danced as a soloist with Cameo Dance Company in Seattle continuing her training in ballet, jazz, hip hop, modern, and theatre dance until age seventeen. It was at the end of her classical training that Xtine took her first salsa lesson and decided that she wanted to challenge herself with partner dancing. Xtine composed a salsa routine and competed in her first Congress in 2005, only months after she started dancing salsa. Within the Salsa community Xtine taught and performed with Somos El Son Dance Company and graduated to choreographing and performing numerous times with Vassili with his band Children of the Revolution. Also notably Xtine performed in the Salsa/Ballroom section of “Dance THIS!” in 2006. Since late 2010 Xtine has been teaching for Salsa Con Todo, where she has taught Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, and Brazilian Zouk. She has trained avidly in Kizomba since 2012 and focuses most of her attention on the subtle and sensual connection of Kizomba.
As of 2013, she has dedicated her the majority of her dance life to Brazilian Zouk, and become one of its premiere artists in Washington and in the USA. She leads weekly classes and heads the only Zouk Dance team in Seattle and enjoys teaching around the nation.Buy Pass
